Personal Attributes among the Students of the University of the Immaculate Conception and their Perceived Effectiveness on the Semester-End Online Clearance System

Abstract


In the 21st century, it is not only the students who are adoptive of the technology but even the institutions which aided the deficiency in the workplace. Some colleges and universities are now shifting from manual to online transactions. This study explored the level of personal attributes and the perceived effectiveness on the semester-end online clearance of the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). This investigation employed descriptive-association research-design, specifically a combination of descriptive-association and descriptive-comparative. A total of 106 respondents were chosen through multistage random sampling technique. Furthermore, a researcher made questionnaire with a cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.74 was used in the study. Based on the results, the students satisfactorily agreed on the effectiveness of the semester-end online clearance of perceived effectiveness of the online clearance system have the same level. Personal attributes (sex, age, year Level & Information Technology competence) have not establish its note in determining the effectiveness of the newly implemented semester-end online clearance by the institution.
