Three-Dimensional (3D) Prototype Printer

This study aimed to develop a three dimensional (3D) prototype printer which produces simple, unique, and affordable ornamental models made from plastic filament. This study employed experimental development and descriptive approach. Thirty purposively chosen experts from the engineering field assessed the device’s level of functionality and operation. Findings revealed that the device was able to print a solid 3D model from a specific design crafted in a computer aided drafting application. Furthermore, the device exhibited very high level of efficiency and functionality in the process of transforming the plastic filament to a desired output.
