Abstract

This study aimed to create a device which automates the operations of a car such as controlling the engine, headlight, horn, signal light, power windows, door lock, and hazard through voice command. The study utilized two phase method, namely, experimental development and descriptive approach. There were thirty (30) purposively chosen experts from the engineering field who tested the functionality of the device. A researcher-made questionnaire was used for the evaluation of the device’s functionality. The features of the device constituted one (1) microphone which receives the input voice from the user and eight (8) Light Emitting Diode (LED) indicators which established the automatic features of the device. Findings showed that the voice command module exhibited very high efficiency with regard to its capabilities to recognize only identified and registered voice commands. The device displayed very high efficiency in terms of functionality and operation of the features of the device.
